Historical Society History Pub Crawls set for spring
Submitted by Jacki Bradham
The St. Croix County Historical Society will host two Hudson History Pub Crawls, 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, and 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 14. Like many Wisconsin towns, Hudson has a rich history surrounding the production and consumption of alcohol and this new walking tour will give a glimpse into that past.
Join the Historical Society for an afternoon of fun and lively conversation. Meet new friends and look forward to an informative and "spirited" historical presentation on the brewing industry in Wisconsin. Discussion will include interesting local history as well as the historical background of the establishments visited and their buildings.
The tour begins at 2 p.m. and will visit Dick's Bar and Grill, Stone Tap Gastropub, Hop & Barrel Brewing, Pudge's, and Historic Casanova Liquor. Tour goers will experience behind the scenes access and conversations with owners.
Discounted drink specials will be offered (not included in ticket price) and light snacks will be provided. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather as it is a walking tour. All attendees must be 21 or older.
Reservation are required, and space is limited. Tickets are $18 for SCCHS members and $20 for nonmembers (sold on a first come basis). For reservations, or further information, contact Mary Lesher at 715-441-3789. Calls made to the St. Croix County Historical Society have no guarantee of securing a reservation.
