Underage consumption

At 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 a minor was cited for underage consumption and obedience. Police were assisting a vehicle when the minor asked for a ride to a gas station to use the restroom while she waited for friends to pick her up. The minor identified herself as another minor who had been cited in a previous incident that day. The officer on the scene had been at that incident, and knew it was not the same person. The officer gave the minor a ride to the police station to use the restroom and figure the situation out. While at the police station, the minor stated she had initially given her sister's name because she was worried about her. The officer noticed the smell of alcohol on the minor. A preliminary blood test showed her blood alcohol content was .121. An officer gave the minor a ride home.
